New Astral Zoom platform opens the door to deeper metaproteomics

We are excited to announce that our Astral Zoom mass spectrometer platform is now ready to use.

This is a big moment for our group. Astral Zoom brings a new level of speed, sensitivity, and depth to our proteomics and metaproteomics research. For complex biological samples, especially microbiome samples, this means we can look deeper, measure faster, and ask more ambitious questions.

For us, Astral Zoom is more than a new instrument. It is a new teammate.

With this platform, we will be able to push forward our work in metaproteomics, host–microbiome interactions, and AI-assisted data analysis. It will support the development of new workflows for identifying peptides, proteins, taxa, and functions from complex microbial communities, and help us connect advanced mass spectrometry with next-generation computational methods.
